Mia Khalifa mocks Brits as she braves cold on Whitstable beach

A world famous influencer has been dubbed the "queen of Whitstable" after braving the Kent cold in a bikini.

Mia Khalifa shared the images of herself on one of the town's beaches in a tongue-in-cheek post captioned "British people when the sun comes out for five minutes" yesterday.

The 29-year-old, who was wearing Louis Vuitton swimwear, was called the "queen of Whitstable" by an Instagram commenter as most of her 27 million followers lapped up the content.

But not everyone was impressed, with one noting: "That is the rockiest beach I've ever seen and it couldn't have been comfortable to lay down on."

This is the latest sighting of the star in the county as her love affair with Whitstable continues, having previously dubbed it better than Miami.

Earlier this month, she was seen in Faversham throwing a mock tantrum as she carried a designer bag, seemingly unrecognised by residents.

She previously told fans of her heartbreak at leaving Whitstable in November, having spent two weeks enjoying the coast.

And back in September, the Lebanese-American took millions by surprise after enjoying a late-summer visit to Faversham, calling it a "proper British sea(mud) town".

Her extended stay in the South East comes as she looks to expand her brand, having been seen office shopping last week.

Khalifa is one of a number of well-known names to have been spotted in Kent recently, with Ronnie Wood, Aaron Paul and Dominic West among those to visit in recent months.

Whitstable is establishing itself as a celebrity hotspot, with comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe joining the famous faces this summer.

Residents say they have become so used to seeing stars "we now take celebrity visits in our stride".
