Two boys have been arrested after a man suffered serious injuries in an attack in the centre of Whitstable.
Now police are issuing an appeal following the brawl which involved a group of people in Oxford Street near the junction with Nelson Road earlier this month.
The man, who is in his 40s, required hospital treatment following the attack, which took place between 10.50pm and 11.10pm on Friday, August 2.
Several other people also reported being assaulted.
Two 17-year-old boys from Herne Bay and Whitstable have been arrested in connection with the incident.
They have both been released, but remain under investigation.
Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage, and are keen to speak to anyone with information about the assault.
Investigating officer Stacey Swainston said: "Through our enquiries we are aware there were a number of cars who were travelling down the road at the time of this incident and could have seen something which might assist our enquiries."
Police are urging anyone with information to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 46/149078/19, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
