Man robbed by pair of teens near Crab and Winkle Way in Whitstable

A man was grabbed by a pair of teenage robbers on a push bike, who rifled through his pockets and stole his bank card.

Police are investigating after the victim was targeted as he walked down a path between Clifford Road and the Crab and Winkle Way in Whitstable.

The man in his 20s was approached by two teenage boys riding on a bicycle.

The victim’s arm was grabbed and held while his pockets were searched.

His bank card was stolen and used fraudulently at a shop in Old Bridge Road shortly after - with other cards also stolen in the robbery.

The incident happened at 3.20pm on Tuesday, February 15.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage and say they have carried out a number of inquiries.

The suspects were described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, and wearing black puffer style hooded jackets and grey hooded tops underneath, with the hoods up and pulled tight with white drawstrings.

They were also believed to be wearing dark coloured gloves.

It is believed they were about 15 or 16 years old.
