Man seriously hurt in collision outside Wheatsheaf pub in Herne Bay Road, Whitstable

An elderly pedestrian is being treated in hospital following an accident outside a pub.

It is understood the 75-year-old man was injured in a collision with a red Skoda Fabia in Swalecliffe near Whitstable.

It happened about 8am in Herne Bay Road when the vehicle was turning into the car park of the Wheatsheaf pub.

The pensioner was taken to a London hospital where he is in a serious condition.

Officers from the police's serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses.
