Free fire station family open days with Kent Fire and Rescue 2019 includes Herne Bay this weekend

This weekend could be a scorcher in more ways than one.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews are cooking up a free family open day at Herne Bay's Wimereux Square on Saturday, June 29 between 11am and 4pm.

There will be activities and safety experiences; the chance to meet Herne Bay coastguards and Whitstable’s boat rescue teams, as well as Deal’s line rescue crews and community safety officers.

The event is free but there is no parking available.

The open day is one of a number the fire service is organising throughout the summer - and they're free.

The next is at Maidstone Fire Station in Loose Road on Saturday, July 13, between 10am and 2pm.

Following that will be the Ashford Fire Station Family Open Day in Henwood on Saturday, July 20 between 11am and 3pm.

Folkestone Fire Station Family Open Day will be at the station in Kings Way on Saturday, July 27 between 11am and 4pm.

Deal Fire Station holds its on Saturday, July 27 between 11am and 4pm, while Dartford's is on Saturday, August 3 between the same times.

Dover Fire Station opens its doors to the public on Tuesday, August 6 between 11am and 3pm Thames-side Fire Station in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, holds its on Saturday, August 10 between 11am and 4pm.

There will be an open day at Dymchurch Fire Station on Saturday, August 24 from 11am and 4pm and Strood's will be on Saturday, August 31.

Sheppey Fire Station holds its Family Open Day on Saturday, September 21 between 10.30am and 5pm.
