Suggs is taking a break from the Madness boys for a tour with his one-man show.

In Suggs – My Life Story, the band’s frontman, real name Graham McPherson, 51, gives a funny and moving autobiographical talk going from childhood to the present.

The singer, who owns a beach hut in Whitstable, tells of moments in his life, from trying to find out what happened to the father he never knew to his first appearance on Top of the Pops in 1979 at the age of 18 with Madness. The ska band found fame with hits including Baggy Trousers, House of Fun and Our House.

He will be at Chatham’s Central Theatre on Wednesday, April 3. Tickets from £22.50, call 01634 338338.
