The exhibition, which is free to enter, will see thousands of individually hand-made paper doves curated into a spectacular display which reflects peace, hope and unity.

The artwork has been on display at a number of venues across the UK, with England’s second oldest cathedral now set to be its latest home.

During its tour, the installation has incorporated messages from local communities and schools by including hand-written messages from visitors on each dove.

Medway residents also have a chance to get involved with the artwork as there will be three Decorate a Dove workshops taking place during the exhibition’s run.

The workshops, held on Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Friday 17 February, will invite families to decorate their own colourful peace dove, inspired by the installation, to take home.

It costs £1 per dove and there’s no need to book in advance.

There will also be an evening of live music with local artist Jordan Ravenhill performing a concert under the Peace Doves on Saturday, February 18. You can book tickets here.

Later in the spring, budding creatives will also be able to join a Peace Doves-inspired workshop with Luna Zsigo on Wednesday, March 1.

The artist will guide visitors through a session exploring geometry and art history, suitable for all skill levels.

The workshop costs £20 and all materials are included.
