Rapper Giggs, Bebe Black & Little Nikki are the latest acts announced for Sound Island Festival 2013.

The rising stars will be playing on the first day of the music weekend at Quex Park near Margate, which is being headlined by Plan B, with guest appearances from Rita Ora and James Arthur.

Giggs is one of the most influential rappers in the UK, having worked with top artists including Example, Wiley and Tinchy Stryder, Wretch 32, Devlin and Mike Skinner.

24-year-old Bebe Black first sprang to wider attention after lending her vocals to Benga’s Icon and released her debut EP Deathwish last month, with her debut album expected sometime later this year. Blending different music genres, Bebe once described her sound as being “goth-pop-step”

Little Nikki was signed to Mercury Records aged 13 as part of girl group Soundgirl, but went solo after the group supported Justin Beiber and Pixie Lott on tour. Touted as one of MTV’s ‘10 to watch in 2013’, she has just released her debut single, Intro Intro.

Additional artistes for the second day of the festival, when Jessie J will headline with performances from Lawson and Union J, are still to be announced.

Spokesman Dion Clements said: "As fast rising artists in their own right, Giggs, Bebe Black and Little Nikki fit very nicely with the edgier sound of the Saturday line-up of Plan B, Rita Ora and James Arthur. All three have rapidly developing music careers ahead of them so we’re very pleased to be able to showcase their live talents to potentially new fans."

The Sound Island Festival will take place on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, at Quex Park, Birchington-On-Sea.
