Comedian Noel Fielding of The Mighty Boosh at Margate Winter Gardens, Kent

After having been forced to cancel earlier this year, Noel Fielding of The Mighty Boosh fame, has announced that he will be coming back to Kent in December.

The 41-year-old comedian will be performing at Margate Winter Gardens on Wednesday, December 29.

It was back in the late 1990s when, alongside Julian Barratt, Noel brought to life Howard Moon and Vince Noir in the upstairs room of a London pub in The Mighty Boosh.

Developed from three stage shows and a six-episode radio series, it spawned a total of 20 television episodes for the BBC plus two live tours of the UK.

Despite the huge success of The Mighty Boosh, Noel has continually worked on his solo projects. In January 2012, the first series of Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy aired on E4. Half live action, half animated, the series introduced some new characters, including New York cop Sergeant Raymond Boombox, modern-day Don Quixote Fantasy Man and Roy Circles, an anthropomorphic chocolate finger with shell shock.

Noel has performed at venues all over the world, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House and Radio City Music Hall, won numerous awards, including the Barry Humphries Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and the Douglas Adams Award for Innovative Writing, and appeared on TV shows such as Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow and QI.

An Evening With Noel Fielding is on Friday, January 30. Tickets cost £25. Call 01843 296111 or go to www.margatewintergardens.co.uk
