The three-day event, taking place in the Glow exhibition centre at the mammoth shopping centre, will feature a diverse range of dogs, cats, fish, small mammals, birds and reptiles.

There will also be some unusual pets on show, including micro pigs and pygmy hedgehogs, courtesy of breeders Kew Little Pigs and Hazel’s Hedgehogs, and miniature horse Looking Glass Titanium, measuring just 25 and a half inches tall.

Animal trainer Kimberly Unger, who entered this year’s series of ITV show Britain’s Got Talent, will entertain visitors with the tricks of her pet racoon Melanie.

There will also be talks and demonstrations from Leigh Holmes, presenter of CITV show Wild World, who will host the Birds and Beasts Roadshow, and the Animal Man, aka Nick Spellman.

Fashion-conscious dog owners will enjoy the daily catwalk show demonstrating the latest in haute couture for your pooch, overseen by Louise Harris from grooming parlour Diva Dogs, which features in Sky One show A Different Breed.

Behavioural experts and vets will be on hand to offer free advice to pet owners, and there will be a huge range of stalls selling pet accessories.
