Training course for budding cricket umpires

THE Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells & District Cricket Umpires & Scorers' Association will be starting their 2005 cricket umpires' training course later this month.

Starting at the Imperial Hotel, London Road, Southborough, Tunbridge Wells at 7.30pm on Tuesday, January 18, the course concludes on Tuesday, March 22.

Anyone interested in cricket is welcome to attend, not just umpires wishing to become qualified umpires, but players who enjoy regular umpiring stints.

To join, simply turn up on the opening night, or contact one of the numbers below to enroll.

Candidates will need a copy of Tom Smith's New Cricket Umpiring and Scoring, copies of which will be available for purchase on the course.
