SUPT ANDY DOLDEN: new role with the Met

WEST Kent area police commander, Supt Andy Dolden, is leaving to take up a new role with the Metropolitan Police.

He will be succeeded by Supt Jeremy Price, currently based in the Tactical Operations section at Police Headquarters in Maidstone.

Supt Price is familiar with West Kent, having been an inspector in the area before being promoted four years ago. He said: "I am looking forward immensely to this challenge. I have an affinity with the area and am determined to maintain the good work already going on."

Supt Dolden said: "I have enjoyed my time in West Kent and have learnt a great deal while I have been here. I am confident that, with the appointment of Supt Price, West Kent is being passed into good hands."

Supt Price takes over next month. Supt Dolden joins the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards where he will be involved in the vetting of personnel.
