Police appeal after man is stabbed

KENT Police have appealed for information after a man was stabbed in the stomach after challenging a vandal.

The victim, from Aylesford near Maidstone, was on board a minibus in a car park in Warwick Park, Tunbridge Wells, when a young man approached and an argument started.

The passenger, who is in his 40s, approached the young man to talk to him but then became aware that he was bleeding. He was taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital. His condition was described by West Kent Police as "stable".

The incident, in the early hours of Sunday, also resulted in some damage being caused to the bus.

A 22-year-old man from Sundridge, near Sevenoaks, has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been given police bail until March 30 while further enquiries are carried out.
