Motorbike death crash victim named

A MOTORCYCLIST who was killed when his bike was involved in a collision with a 4x4 pickup vehicle has been formally identified.

Shane Edgington, 36, died in hospital from his injuries after the accident which happened just before 9am on Saturday, at the entrance to Whetsted Farm on the A228, near Five Oak Green.

Mr Edgington, of Bracken Road, Tunbridge Wells, was taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital but died a few hours later.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and was re-opened at 1pm.

An inquest into Mr Edgington’s death was opened and adjourned on Wednesday.
