AN INQUEST into the death of a 17-year-old girl whose body was found in a suitcase in Morrison's car park in Tunbridge Wells two months ago was today opened and adjourned.

Terry Edmonds, from Hadlow, near Tonbridge, went missing on April 17. Her body was discovered on April 29.

Det Insp David Withers, of Kent Police's Major Crime Department, told coroner Roger Hatch at Gravesend County Court that an investigation into her death was on-going and police were not ready to charge anyone at this time.

A date for the full inquest has yet to be set.
