Fresh appeal over fatal crash

MEMBERS of Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit have renewed an appeal following a crash which claimed the life of a 68-year-old woman.

The tragedy that happened at Langton Road, Tunbridge Wells, near junction with Farnham Lane, at about 3.20pm on Friday, November 30.

A blue Honda Civic and a blue Fiat Panda were in collision. The driver of the Civic, Edna Thomas, who came from Langton Green, died following the collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision who have not already contacted them to come forward. In particular, they would like to talk to the driver of a white van, similar in size and type to a Transit, that was parked at the side of the road near where the crash occurred.

The van was parked as if it was travelling from Langton Green towards Tunbridge Wells and officers believe the driver may have stopped to assist the victims of the collision.
