Driver trapped after crash on A21 Lamberhurst

A driver had to be freed by firefighters after becoming "severely trapped" in a crash.

The A21 was shut in both directions between Lamberhurst and Flimwell last night, after the crash involving a heavy goods vehicle at just before 10pm.

Three fire engines were called out, as well as a heavy rescue unit, with hydraulic cutting gear used.

Police, air ambulance and land ambulance paramedics helped the driver.
