Firefighters tackle kitchen blaze in The Shires, Paddock Wood

Firefighters tackled a kitchen blaze in Paddock Wood last night.

Crews were called to a two-storey house in The Shires at just before 8pm and used breathing apparatus and a hose real to put out the flames.

Smoke was cleared via a positive pressure ventilation fan and no injuries were reported.

Both fire engines left the scene at around 8.30pm although the cause of the fire is still unknown.
