Unattended bonfire sparks blaze in Pembury woodland

Trees and vegetation were destroyed when an unattended bonfire spread to woodland.

Firefighters were called to an area of woods on fire in Westway, Pembury yesterday.

An area of trees and plants was destroyed by fire, which is believed to have started by an unattended camp fire.

Crews put out the fire before 4.30pm.
