Red card rules Angels boss out

SUSPENDED: Tony Dolby
SUSPENDED: Tony Dolby

TONBRIDGE Angels player-manager Tony Dolby will be missing for tonight's Ryman League clash against Salisbury City.

He was red carded in Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Wealdstone and suspension has ruled him out of this match.

The Angels are in desperate need of a win, having not taken maximum points in the league since the end of September.

Dolby described the performance at the weekend as "awful" and will be looking for an improvement tonight.

He said after the game: "There were too many players out there who under-performed. Wealdstone are right down there in the league and I’d like to think a team I manage would seize the opportunity to make that their advantage, but we looked sluggish."

"I really can’t put my finger on why we put in such a below par performance."

A victory tonight would take the Angels above Salisbury in the table.
