Tonbridge v Staines

Tonbridge Angels will look to build on a solid start to the new Ryman League Premier Division season with a home win over Staines on Saturday.

A 0-0 draw at Wealdstone on the opening day followed by a 2-0 win over Harlow on Saturday has left manager Tommy Warrilow pleased with his defenders' record.

“I’ve always subscribed to the belief that clean-sheets win titles, so I’m pretty pleased with two already,” said Warrilow.

“While I think that defensively we’ve looked strong, there is definite room for improvement in other departments.”

Warrilow will still be without Michael Phillips for the Staines match but the midfielder will be available for the Bank Holiday Monday Kent derby at Ramsgate.

Angels' goalkeeper Lee Worgan, who was sent off against Wealdstone, is available for both games but will miss the Tooting & Mitcham match on August 30.
