Clothing believed to belong to a missing man has been found on a riverbank.

David Richardson, 43, has been missing from his home in Tonbridge since Friday.

The clothes were found after a member of the public reported seeing a man walking along the riverbank with no shoes on.

Police have been searching for Mr Richardson since the clothing was found, but no one has seen or heard from him.

Kent Police's marine unit are today searching the River Medway near Swanmead Way, Tonbridge.

Insp John Betts said: "We don’t think David has a mobile phone or any money with him and we are very concerned for his welfare, as is his family."
