Police stop traffic - with a bomb

MURDER hunt police looking for clues found more than they bargained for in the River Medway - an unexploded bomb.

Roads in Tonbridge were closed and at least one business evacuated today while Army experts made safe the World War Two bomb.

The bomb was discovered by police investigating the murder of a man on a houseboat in Tonbridge last month.

Roads in the Vale Road and Cannon Lane area were closed.

Eyewitnesses said ambulances and sniffer dogs were in the area and at least one business evacuated until the all clear.
