In front of a packed room of guests, Mr Tugendhat spoke positively of the impact having an office can bring to the town.

He said: "I was delighted to officially open my new office in Tonbridge. It is vital that any MP is able to communicate effectively with constituents and this will help me do that.

"The office will be staffed full time in order to efficiently deal with constituent concerns and make sure that I can represent the people of Tonbridge and Malling in Westminster.

"I will continue to be out in our towns and villages visiting local residents, businesses and community groups."
