Man charged after violent assault at The Station House in Tonbridge

A man was left with broken teeth and ribs after being repeatedly beaten with two pint glasses inside a pub.

The alleged assault took place at The Station House pub, in Barden Road, Tonbridge.

It is reported that the victim was initially knocked to the floor by a suspect, before the assault continued as he lay unconscious.

He was taken to hospital with multiple serious injuries, including a bleed to the brain as well as broken teeth and ribs.

The incident happened on December 3, shortly after 9.40pm.

Sonny Coster, 21, was arrested on Tuesday, February 28 and later charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Coster, of Scott Road, Tonbridge, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday) and was remanded in custody pending his next hearing.
