A man is in a serious condition in hospital after an apparent stabbing.

Police have cordoned off part of Vale Road, Tonbridge as they investigate what is thought to be a stabbing near the Mercedes-Benz Tonbridge showroom.

Officers were called out at 6.19pm yesterday after a man was seen with injuries.

He was rushed to a local hospital in a serious condition.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Part of the road currently remains closed while officers carry out enquiries at the scene to establish the circumstances of the incident."

Forensic officers were seen in the area

Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
