Five arrests after Land Rover stolen from Tonbridge spotted in the Blackwall Tunnel on the A2 towards London

Five men have been arrested after a Land Rover was recovered hours after being reported stolen.

The 4x4 was one of two vehicles taken from a house in Plaxtol near Tonbridge during the early hours of Monday.Jan16

The theft was reported to police at 8.30am and at 3.20pm officers stopped the vehicle after spotting it being driven through the Blackwall Tunnel on the A2 towards London - around 30 miles away from where it was taken from.

It was stopped along with a Nissan Navara which was travelling close behind.

Five men were held in connection with theft offences.

The suspects were all later bailed to return to the police station, subject to an ongoing investigation.

There is yet no sign of the second stolen Land Rover.
