A major road was shut for four hours after a driver crashed and landed their car on its side.

The A227 Shipbourne Road in Tonbridge was closed while emergency services dealt with the single car collision.

Fence panels had been destroyed along the embankment and the car was left standing on its passenger side.

It happened at around 6pm on Saturday,

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Officers attended alongside Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"No life-threatening injuries were reported and the road was cleared by 10.25pm."
