TAKALOO suffered a shock defeat against Eugeno Monteiro at the Wembley Conference Centre.

The WBU light-middleweight champion, whose belt was not on the line, never recovered from a first round knockdown and was beaten on points 77-75.

Takaloo was on the canvas inside 20 seconds after Monteiro landed a sweeping left hook which he did well to get up from.

The Margate Rock never really got going until the later rounds of Saturday night's bout, but by that time it was too late to undo the damage done earlier in the fight.
