The incident was originally thought to be a fight involving eight people but was later confirmed to be a robbery.

A BTP spokesman said: “On arrival officers discovered a 15-year-old boy had been robbed.

“He had his necklace stolen and was punched and kicked to the floor.”

Following a search in the area, two teenage boys, aged 13 and 14, were located in a coffee shop.

After looking at CCTV footage, officers arrested them on suspicion of robbery.

The pair were taken into police custody before being released on bail. Inquiries into the incident continue.
