Traffic delays as snow hits Thanet

Swirling snow turned Thanet white again today (Wednesday) in a re-run of the recent severe weather conditions.

Traffic from Birchington to the St Nicholas roundabout started to back up as drivers battled poor visibility and slippery roads in the blizzards.

The snow and sleet showers were heavy, despite being short-lived, and had started to settle by mid-day.
