Thugs target vulnerable man in robbery in Victoria Road, Margate

A 51-year-old man who walks with a stick was attacked, punched in the face and pushed to the ground in a robbery in Margate.

The victim had his wallet taken during the assault in Victoria Road shortly after midnight on Wednesday, April 14.

Police say he was walking home from a friend's house when he was approached by three men, one of whom asked him for a cigarette. He replied that he no longer smoked and was then set upon.

While he lay on the pavement his pockets were searched and a brown leather wallet with £75 cash inside was stolen along with his Magners baseball cap.
