A teenager was taken to hospital after being stabbed during an annual Jamaican beach party in Margate.

Officers were called to the seafront at 5.35pm yesterday where a 19-year-old man suffered non life-threatening injuries.

A Kent Police spokesman confirmed the man was taken to hospital with a puncture wound to his leg.

Two men have been arrested and are in police custody. Both - one 21 and the other 19 - are from London.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police.

In a separate incident yesterday, a 21-year-old woman, also from London, was arrested on suspicion of assault at Marine Gardens in Margate. She is also in police custody.
