Attack at taxi rank in Harbour Parade, Ramsgate, leaves driver with bruising

A taxi driver was attacked by two men as he waited at a taxi rank in Ramsgate.

The driver picked the two suspects up from the taxi rank in Harbour Parade at about 2am on Saturday, March 26. They asked to be taken to Margate.

The driver initially drove them to a cash machine in the town's Harbour Street but refused to take them any further.

He drove back to Harbour Parade and the two men returned there and assaulted him, leaving him with a bruised chin.

The first of the two suspects is white and aged between 18 and 22. He is about 5ft 11ins tall with a slim build and short, dark brown hair and was wearing a white T shirt and jeans.

The second, who was also wearing a T shirt and jeans, is white, aged between 22 and 25 and about 5ft 8ins tall with a medium build and shaved blonde hair.

Officers investigating the assault are appealing for anyone with information to get in contact.
