Suspected Thanet dealer appears in Medway Magistrates’ Court

A man suspected of dealing drugs in Thanet has been charged after police seized heroin, cannabis, mobile phones and £7,000 in cash during a raid.

The search warrant was carried out by officers at an address in Basildon on Monday, following an investigation by Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team.

Police detained a man who was taken into custody.

Jason Willis, of Cherrydown East, Basildon, was later charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

He was also charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply, possessing cannabis with intent to supply and possessing criminal property, namely the seized cash.

The 34-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on August 23.
