The show is set to air in six weeks and sees the Scottish comedian explore a seafront location.

The 48-year-old comedian and TV presenter has appeared on Radio 4 panel shows such as The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, and hosted her own stand-up programme on the same channel.

In 2017, she came seventh in Strictly Come Dancing, and in the same year hosted TV show Armchair Detectives.

Colin Welsh, from Col’s Kent Bike Tours in Margate was lucky enough to get a picture with the Great British Menu star after taking her on a quick tour on his rickshaw bike.

He was approached by the team working on the programme last week about taking part in the show.

“It was really good fun,” he said.

“We started at the sundeck by the mini golf course and then brought her into town down by the steps.

“She asked me a few questions about the town and then she was heading off to the Shell Grotto and was going to get some ice cream and walk around the Old Town.”

Mr Welsh, who used to run a comedy club in London and worked as a tour guide in the city, said Susan made him feel at ease while filming.

“She was quite similar to how she is on the telly and very friendly and funny,” he said.

“She performed in Margate in 2017 at the Theatre Royal and said she was looking forward to coming back.”

Mr Welsh said the idea brewed for his bike tour business during the lockdowns.

Her on-screen husband, Jay Brown, played by Jamie Borthwick, joined her at various locations across the town, including Dreamland's roller disco and Wildes Cafe in Market Place.
