The planned show at Margate's West Coast by ska legends Neville Staple from The Specials and Pauline Black from Selector has been put back for a week from Sunday, June 21, to Sunday, June 28.

Tickets already bought will be honoured at the door for the rearranged gig; refunds are available from the venue if required.

Ska music will feature at the West Coast this Sunday from 8.30pm with a free show by Hey Rudi, performing two 45 minute sets of classics from The Beat, Selector, Madness, Bad Manners and The Specials.

By fusing elements of ska and punk music with socially aware lyrics and with the social conditions of the UK being dire for many young working class people it was only a matter of time before this movement was going to be the most real of all young cults to hit Britain.

Up and down the country 2-Tone was everywhere from the youth clubs on working class estates right through to huge venues. You couldn't get away from it. Everyone was hooked.

The West Coast in Margate has been one of few venues around the UK to show their love for the ska scene, especially the 2-Tone movement which venue owner Eli Thompson and venue PR man Steve DIY were part of. In fact Eli Thompson went on to mix the 1995 Specials single 'Hyprocrite'.
