A255 St Peter’s Road shut after crash between lorry and car near Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

A road has reopened after it was closed in both directions after a crash between a lorry and a car.

The A255 St Peter’s Road, Margate, shut both Margate-bound and Broadstairs-bound, between the A256 Westwood Road and the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital.

Motorists experienced delays as a result.

Speaking at about 10am, a spokeswoman for Kent Police said: “We were called at 9.16am to St Peter’s Road, Margate, following reports of a collision involving a car and a lorry.

“Officers attended and no injuries have been reported.

“The road is currently closed while recovery of the vehicles is arranged.”
