SOUTH Thanet MP Stephen Ladyman has been unanimously reselected by the Labour party to contest the seat he has held since 1997.

Dr Ladyman said: "I am delighted. I love the constituency and it has been an honour to represent it for the last 10 years.

"This is one of the most marginal seats in the country and boundary changes will make it even more so, but I am confident that Labour can win it again.

"My home is in the constituency. The problems the constituency faces are the problems that my family and I face - so the people can be confident I will always work hard for them."
