Ramsgate: Car smashes into parked cars and a wall in Margate Road

Police are investigating after a car smashed into parked cars and damaged a wall.

Police were called to Margate Road in Ramsgate just after 11pm last night following the serious crash near Fitzroy Avenue.

The car was left overturned after the crash, with witnesses reporting damage to a couple of other stationary cars.

Two people were reported to have fled the scene on foot.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Kent Police was called on Tuesday 27 June 2017 at 11.21pm to reports that a car had collided with a wall on Margate Road, Ramsgate.

"Officers and firefighters attended. There was a road closure in place but this has now been lifted."
