Margate robbery sparks police CCTV appeal

A man was attacked after trying to recover items stolen from him by a robber.

Detectives have now released a CCTV image following the incident, which happened in Margate, on Sunday, April 17.

The victim was approached by a man in Marine Gardens, who stole his phone and wallet and demanded he withdrew money from a cash point.

The victim refused and the suspect begun to walk away.

The victim then followed him in an effort to get his belongings back, which resulted in him being assaulted by the robber in Margate High Street.

The suspect left the scene with £100 in cash, a mobile phone and a credit card.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify, who they think might have information regarding the incident.
