Police and fire service called to crash outside St George's Church of England School in Broadstairs

A crash outside a school has prompted a large response from emergency services.

The incident happened at 10.35am near St George's Church of England Foundation School in Broadstairs.

A witness reported seeing fire, police and ambulance services at the scene in Westwood Road.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended a one-vehicle collision at the junction of Rumfields Road and Westwood Road, Broadstairs at 10.35am today.

"Officers assisted with traffic management. No serious injuries were reported."

A fire service spokesman added two fire engines attended to help make the scene.

They added: "Crews helped to make the scene safe. Duty of care was left with ambulance services and Kent Police.

"Crews left the scene at 11.04am."
