Victim held at knife point as e-scooter stolen in Ramsgate

An e-scooter rider was threatened with a knife before having his machine stolen.

The victim was approached in an alley by a teenager who then rode away on the black Mi Pro 2 with red wiring and wheel trims.

The robbery happened in the alleyway by the Warre recreation ground, near Newington Road, Ramsgate, between 6.50pm and 7pm on Wednesday, September 14.

The suspect, who rode off towards the railway station, was described as black, aged between 16 and 18, slim and between 5ft 3in and 5ft 7in.

He is believed to have been wearing a black bandana covering his nose and mouth, a dark grey or black jacket and dark trousers.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone with information regarding the robbery, anyone who has seen the scooter or has CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area.
