Ramsgate: Car ploughs into Hare and Hounds in Northwood

A man had to be rescued by firefighters after his car ploughed into a pub in Ramsgate in the early hours.

The vehicle crashed into the Hare and Hounds, at the junction of Margate Road and Northwood Road, at about 2.20am.

The driver was trapped and had to be cut out of the car before being taken to hospital.

Firefighters also had to check the structure of the building to make sure it was safe.

It is the second time this week a car has crashed into a pub. Four people were hurt in New Romney when a Vauxhall Corsa careered into the Cinque Port Arms.
