Motorists have been stuck in traffic after a two-vehicle crash.

The A254 Ramsgate Road in Margate was initially closed both ways following a serious accident at Nash Lane near the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital.

It has partially reopened, but police remain at the scene.

A police spokesman said the crash happened around 4.30pm.

She said: "Officers are at the scene in Nash Lane. No injuries have been reported.

"The road is currently closed between Shottendane Road and Star Lane to assist with vehicle recovery."
