Glenn Hall, of Buenos Ayres, Margate faces court decision over Staffordshire bull terrier

A court is to decide whether a dog will live or die.

The Staffordshire bull terrier, called Lovelace, will have its fate decided at a hearing at Thanet Magistrates' Court on April 7.

Glenn Hall, 55, of Buenos Ayres in Margate, appeared in court charged with being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control.

The Margate Magistrates' Court hearing came after a baby girl was allegedly bitten by a dog as she sat in her pram.

Instead of stopping, the owner of the dog, who had a second animal on a lead, allegedly continued towards the seafront.

The alleged attack happened at 2.15pm on Monday, January 4 and Hall was charged after a police appeal appeared in the Thanet Extra and on KentOnline.

The hearing comes after a court ordered the destruction of an out-of-control dog in Ashford, after it attacked two people.
