Margate extended their unbeaten run to six matches, but were made to settle for a point after taking the lead at Borehamwood.

Iain O'Connell side's went ahead against the play-off chasers through Leroy Huggins on 25 minutes. Sam Jones rode a couple of challenges in the build-up and Curtis Robinson threaded a clever ball through the Borehamwood defence for Huggins to latch onto and poke home.

The hosts were denied almost immediately by Jamie Turner, who showed quick reactions to block a deflected free kick. But, Leon Hunter was to get the better of the Gate keeper on 40 minutes. Hunter rounded off a swift move by Borehamwood's Lee Allinson, who broke round the back of the Margate defence and cut a ball across goal from the byline for an unmarked midfielder to finish at the far post.

Jamie Turner once again came to the rescue for Margate in the second half, denying Chris Watters and then being thankful for substitute Inih Effiong's lack of a cool head in injury time. Effiong looked to have an easy finish from Turner's save, but somehow missed the goal from just three yards out.
