The award-winning business in Ebbsfleet Lane is holding a Christmas event on Saturday (November 27) from 10am-4pm, with customers able to stock up on home-made frozen curries, as well as chocolates, chutneys and oils from Quex Foods.

A curry lunch will also be served, priced at £5 per head.

The Chai Stop, which has been producing delicious Indian and Thai curries for more than 10 years, won the prestigious Food Producer of the Year prize at the 2009 Taste of Kent Awards.

Run by Tina Cesbron and Isobel Moore, the company’s dishes are wheat and gluten free. They use meat that has been reared outdoors and organic vegetables, lentils and pulses wherever possible.

National Curry Week was launched in 1998 to promote the cuisine and to raise funds for charities working to prevent hunger, malnourishment and poverty around the world.
