A night for two at a new Thanet hotel is the top class prize for a participant in the Kent Charity Challenge abseil at Ramsgate.

If you have not already done so, now is the time to sign up for the event on Saturday, December 6, in aid of CLIC Sargent children’s cancer charity.

Holiday Inn Express at Minster has donated a prize of dinner and bed and breakfast for two, valued at more than £100, to a lucky winner in the event at Screaming Alley, West Cliff.

Each person taking part in the abseil has to commit to raising a minimum of only £75.

Seventy per cent of money raised at the Thanet Extra-backed abseil will go to Clic Sargent and 30 per cent to the Kent and Medway Walking Bus Group.

Nicky Henderson, sales and marketing manager at Holiday Inn Express, has had personal experience of how cancer can devastate people’s lives.

She said: “This is such a good cause, we really wanted to do something to help. My son lost his granddad to cancer in March so it is close to home.”

To take part in the abseil, simply fill in the form below or contact Janine Terrana on 0844 2640291 or by email at jterrana@kmcharitychallenge.co.uk
