Sittingbourne respond to joint-boss Matt Wyatt's call for sharper shooting with 4-2 win at Ramsgate in Ryman League Division 1 South

Sittingbourne's players responded in style to joint-manager Matt Wyatt's call to be more ruthless with a 4-2 win at Ramsgate on Tuesday night.

Wyatt demanded more of a cutting edge up front after the Brickies missed early chances in Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Leatherhead - and his side replied with Ryan Golding's hat-trick and a Joe Taylor effort sinking the Rams.

The result is sure to give Wyatt and fellow joint-manager Nick Davis extra confidence ahead of third-placed Walton Casuals' visit this weekend.

Wyatt said: “Good teams go in for the kill when they’re on top in matches. We don’t always do that. That’s the difference between us and those in the top five. They’re more clinical when they have teams on the ropes.

“We’re a good footballing side but I’ve also noticed we can be outmuscled and bullied by teams who are big and strong."

Luke Girt is suspended for the Walton Casuals game but Nick Treadwell (shoulder) and Nick Dunsdon (groin) could be fit.
